13th Birthday Party Ideas?

I'm turning 13 in 17 days on December the 2nd. All of my friends don't really like we at the moment, but I have one decent friend. I don't know what to do. My parents said I get a choice of money or a party; what shall I do?

I'd take the money and perhaps you and your friend and grab a movie or hang out at the mall/arcade and just have fun the two of you! You don't need a lot of friends to celebrate your birthday.

Make a sign out of pink construction paper the numbers 1 and 3 for thirteen do it in your favourite colors, hang on the wall.
Put balloons around the house.

Have a nice meal like tacos with lots of toppings served buffet style.
You could have a sleep over have the girls bring a pillow and sleeping bag.
Watch movies, you could do facials and manicures.
Serve popcorn and drinks with movie candy.
Make goody bags with a nail polish in it,nail polish remover, and a nail file.

Or you could just keep the money, but a party is so much fun and maybe you will make up with your friends.

I would take the money. Maybe next year when you have a good bunch of friends who get along with each other you can have a spa party or a bowling party.

Before I give you my best answer I want to wish you a happy birthday early! You are soon entering a challenging part of your life! My best wishes to you!... You are asking a deep question! But I applaud you! Because I really think that you are wanting an answer that most kids your age could care less about. I always tell my own kids, to have friends you have to be a friend. If you really want to have a party, my suggestion is to have one and invite your friend that you know you have, and letting them in on it and looking to them for a bit of help (if they are the exclusive sort of friend it is probably not a good idea, but if they are a decent sort like you say they will probably be all for it), also inviting a few unlikely kids that you know might need a friend (But...

by all means don't expect anything in return! It takes time to learn to be a friend and accept friendship!). You may never know what being included and a little kindness will do for the other kid/s.
Or/ if this sounds like too much effort, you can take the lesser route and try to fill the space in your heart, that you'd really like to fill with more friends, and take the money instead.
My hope for you is that you choose to do a big thing that not only will show others the goodness in your heart but will truly make this your best birthday ever!
