See if you can use a regular pot. Also Avocado tree/plants require lots of sunlight. The container used is keeping it moist and not a chance to dry out between watering. This will rot the plant. It needs to be dry to the touch, before watering again . Remember Bright and Light!

I do not believe you can save it but I never give up until it's very apparent the plant has died.

I would suggest removing the plant from this container and lay it out on some paper so you can see the roots and maybe discard the potting soil as it looks really heavy and your plants need amended potting soil or the heavy dirt will smoother them and keep the soil wet too long. Use potting soil that has amendments like perlite or vemiculite with peat or sphagnum moss. Any of these will help the drainage and keep your plants healthy.

You may need a container that has more drainage holes as you want the moisture to be able to escape as needed.

After looking at your naked plant you can decide if you think it can survive and move on from there.
I believe avocados need to be moist but not wet and just check once in a while to make sure it does not completely dry out.
They seem to like light but not direct sun so try to put your plant outside when you can but only in the shade.

There is a lot of information available for information on how to care for your little tree so check some of them out.
These is a good short 'care for' site.

If you have other plants you want to check out one of the little gadgets that tell you how dry/wet your plants are.

I have a very large organic garden and we have started so many different trees from seeds. One thing that you have done wrong is the container that you have chosen to plant this one in. The soil does not look to health either and should be changed out. I would do this to see if it helps or not. Take some trimmers and snip off the top of the tree where it has started to turn over. Now remove the plant from this container and get all the dirt off the roots of the tree and make sure the roots look good and not damaged. Now take some new potting soil and a new pot that has a drainage system in the pot and plant this tree again. Add just a tiny bit of water to moisten the soil right now and put the tree in a place where it won't get too much sun during the day.

The tree is in shock and you need to try and protect it for a few weeks from too much sun. Check on it every few days and make sure the trunk of the tree is still strong and not weak. You should start to see some new growth on the gree in about 1-3 weeks. At this time you can move the tree to a new location and give it a bit more sun during the day. Only water the tree when the soil is very dry. Then only add a small amount of water to the soil so that it is moist and not too wet. if this works you have saved your tree. Otherwise, the tree is too far gone right now to be saved. Don't give up hope it still might work.
