Photo Description This is a tall bearded iris but it is not named 'Velna'. I suppose it could be classed as an old fashioned iris. It was given to me by a sweet neighbor over fifty years ago. Not knowing its name, I christened it 'Velna' after the lady who gave it to me. Every year when it blooms, I revisit fond memories of when she lived next door. She was the type person who, back then, was given the title 'A good ol' soul'. After fifty years, I'll say it again; 'Thanks, Velna'.
It's six in the evening. I saw an opportunity to get what I thought would be a good shot of this iris, and I took it. Turned out pretty well. The colors are gorgeous but I particularly like the angle of the shot.
