On my first child's birthday, I learned how to make decorator icing. This has seen me through lots of birthdays, made me money on cakes for weddings, anniversaries and I'd LOVE to share it.

Ingredients (Per Batch):

Then add water in VERY small amounts until this mixes to a good spreading consistency.

If you do make it too thin, add more powdered sugar. Spread on a cooled cake with a long thin spatula. To make this really smooth, dip the spatula in a glass filled with HOT water before spreading.

Cake decorating is really fun and stay at home moms can make LOTS of extra money doing cakes for family and friends. I never took a lesson, I taught myself.
