Choosing a Compost Bin Size

Category Composting

i have a small town garden and have been looking to buy a compost bin. I am confused as to which size I need, they seem to be 80 litres and 220 litres plus, with no size in between. Would the 80 litre be enough? (I'll be using kitchen scraps, leaves, and grass cuttings.) This is a one person household. Thanks for reading, any help gratefully received.

I started my compost bin using a plain old round storage container. The kind you see with the rope handles. Got mine at Walmart. I also started it using a cheap potting soil. Dont need to use the expensive brand. Also go to Lowes and their is a product that starts the composting process. I think it is about $7.00. It is in the gardening products section. It is in a cylinder type container. Hope this helps.
