I, too, would very much like an answer to this question (how to clean a vintage - late 50s-early 60s - Borgana faux fur coat). Thank you.

Ive washed several vintage faux fur coats (Astraka, Borgana). Turn the coat/jacket inside out and put it into a mesh wash bag, put on a delicate and cold cycle on a washing machine using a delicate detergent such as Woolite (no pods as they can melt and stick to the fabric), turn right way out and lay flat on a clothing rack to dry.

When fully dry, you may want to lightly brush it with a bristle brush or pet slicker brush (for longer haired coats).

I just washed my Borgana long fur coat and it turned out beautiful. I put it in the bathtub with cold water and washed it with a small amount of ivory dishwashing soap, then rinsed it 4 times. I hung i up and kept squeezing the water out of it and it slowly dried and turned out absolutely beautiful!
