Colored Salt Decor - cut glass style decanter with layered colored salt Here is a way to reuse clear empty glass or plastic containers for decoration. Simply add homemade colored salt.

Supplies:

container, glass or plastic
salt (as much as you'd like to fill)
food coloring
4 clear bags (more if you make additional colors)

Steps:

Gather your supplies.

Pour salt equally or however much you'd like for each color into bags.

Colored Salt Decor - pour desired amount of salt for each color into plastic bags

Add a few drops of food coloring until desired shade. Rub and mix in well with bag closed.

Colored Salt Decor - add food color to achieve desired color

Colored Salt Decor - close bag and rub and mix to dye salt

Make sure each bag has the color spread out evenly (no clumps). Do a "chop" movement with your hand.

Colored Salt Decor - lay bags out and check color distribution in bags of salt

Pour as desired and enjoy ! :)
