Colored Salt Decor - cut glass style decanter with layered colored saltHere is a way to reuse clear empty glass or plastic containers for decoration. Simply add homemade colored salt.




  1. Gather your supplies.
  2. Colored Salt Decor - gather your supplies
  3. Pour salt equally or however much you'd like for each color into bags.
  4. Colored Salt Decor - pour desired amount of salt for each color into plastic bags
  5. Add a few drops of food coloring until desired shade. Rub and mix in well with bag closed.
  6. Colored Salt Decor - add food color to achieve desired color
    Colored Salt Decor - close bag and rub and mix to dye salt
  7. Make sure each bag has the color spread out evenly (no clumps). Do a "chop" movement with your hand.
  8. Colored Salt Decor - lay bags out and check color distribution in bags of salt
