Copper Earrings from Old Transformer

Two earrings made from copper foil. Disassembling a transformer from an old computer, I found copper foil and decided to make earrings from it. The copper foil is easy to fold, so I decided to fold the earrings. I really liked the simple and original look of these earrings.

Total Time: 20 Minutes

Supplies:

copper foil, I used foil from an old transformer
iron ruler
awl
scissors or knife
2 jump rings
2 earring fish hooks

Steps:

Use an awl and ruler to mark two rectangular pieces 0.75 "wide and 1.5" long. Cut off two rectangular pieces.

I decided not to clean the darkened areas of the foil, as this will give the earrings a vintage look.

Fold the ends in the middle as shown in the photo. Fold the foil carefully to avoid damaging it. Do not press hard when folding. Then flip over to the other side and fold the sharp corners to form a square. Fold back the corners as shown in the photo.

Make holes. Add the jump rings and attach the earrings to the fish hooks. Bend each earring slightly in the middle.
