Duck Won't Sit On Her Fertile Eggs?

Duck Won't Sit On Her Fertile Eggs - ducklings and nest of eggsI have 2 ducks; 1 male and 1 female. She laid a total of 16 eggs and then sat on them as well. After a period of 15 to 18 days, 3 of her eggs finally hatched! :) Today is the 3rd day since all 3 eggs hatched, but she won't sit on the rest of her eggs. And if she does sit on them, she doesn't cover all of them like she used to and did before. Some of her eggs stick out from the sides and don't receive an equal amount of warmth. They are fertile and I can see ducklings in some of them as they are extremely dark and a bit heavy too. But she won't sit on them. And I thought once the eggs start hatching, all of them are hatched within 2 days, but it's the 3rd day today. We don't have an incubator either. How can I help the rest of the eggs hatch if she doesn't sit on all of them as much as she did before the 3 eggs hatched?

Let the duck family handle this, if you touch them she may not want them. They always find away to take care there own!

This can be normal and there is actually nothing to worry about. The mother knows when she needs to sit on the eggs and will do so. At times they can just lay the eggs and not worry about them for a few days.

Just let nature take its course and she will either sit on them or just let them die. Do not worry about this at all.

The female dog has laid 10 eggs. One a day. She doesnt sit on any of them. It is February 26 and I think its too early for her to be laying eggs but the weather is warm and I am in California. How long before the eggs die

It may be too many eggs for the mother duck to sit on. I would not interfere and let nature take its course.

I am new to raising ducks and could really use some help. On Labor Day I purchased a female pekin duck with a crest and some mild balance issues and a mallard male with a club foot. I corrected the club food and the female seems ok with what is her normal balance issues. Four weeks ago I witnessed mating and it has CI tinued since then. One day after mating she laid her first egg in the yard. After that she has laid an egg in a nest (get ready for this) every day for four weeks. There are 28 eggs currently in the nest. She spends the days away from the eggs but spends nights on the eggs. She shows no signs of stopping laying eggs. From the first egg, Ive been reading to let her so her thing and shell stop when shes ready. Ive done lame attempts at candeling but I dont trust myself. I didnt want or know if I should take some eggs and incubate them.

With covid19, I have very little time as Im a nurse.
What should I do? Is this normal? Could her crest neurological issues cause her to not fully understand the broody behavior. What should I do now?
Ps I had not idea that its frowned upon to breed crested ducks with neurological issues with a normal duck (I fixed his club foot in a few weeks. Bert may not be considered number because he had the club foot at birth. I read an article too lake to say stop them from breeding by separation. What do I do now? Let her go and see what happens? Is there a simple technique I can try to candle that doesnt involve a lot of equipment? If some eggs are not fertile will she be ok with me moving some eggs.!thank you so much for any insight!
