Freezing Corn in a Pillowcase

Gold Post Medal for All Time! 677 Posts

A pillowcase full of corn in the freezer.Do not hesitate to stock up on corn when there is a sale. Corn can be frozen, in the husks, in a pillowcase. Load up the pillowcase, fold the top over so it is closed, and place in the freezer. It will stay as fresh as the day it was picked.

You can prepare it several ways: take the husks off and boil in a large pot for 15 minutes, microwave it 5 minutes with the husks on (letting it cool down before you strip off the husks), or grill with the husks off or on.

Supposedly for months. Mine are about a month old. I had one yesterday and it was delicious.
