Can't say as I know a great deal about China, although I am aware it has a very long history as a populated nation. I do admire the traditional Chinese approach to healthcare which includes herbs, acupuncture and other homeopathic remedies. Other impressions include an oppressive / secretive government, excellent education, gifted musicians and athletes, and superb food (not the anglicized versions).
I wish that you had provided your age and also where (country) you are living, so maybe someone your age could have provided some interesting insight.
I am a grandmother and probably have not placed a lot of thought in China or its customs.
I did not study China in my studies at school, so all of my thoughts and opinions have been attained since leaving school.
I have read about China and what was amazing to me was how many different land types could be in one country.
I did wonder if just everyday Chinese people were aware of this, as I feel sure this is the only country where so many different climates are available.

Many Americans probably feel some fear of a country that is so large and where so many people live.
I have wondered how strict the culture is about fun things that American people do and if they enjoy doing the same types of recreation or do they have other interests.
But, I do not think we fear Chinese people and would really like to know them better.

There's good evidence the original Chinese symbols demonstrate the Chinese knew and believed the account of creation from Genesis from their beginning. For example, the symbol for BOAT is the combination of the symbols for VESSEL, EIGHT, and PEOPLE, which is what Genesis says were saved in the great flood, Noah, his wife, their 3 sons and their 3 wives, a total of eight who survived the flood in the ark Noah was told to construct.
china has always fascinated me,,the scenery,the people,the customs,history,food,everything. i read anything i can get hold of about china.unfortunatly i will be unable to visit this beautiful country,due to age and finances,but one can always read!
I was surprised that in China people spit in public places and this is considered normal;
that in some parts of China, belching is still considered a sign of satisfaction from food and is considered a compliment to the chef;
that in China, people often use pants with holes instead of baby diapers, which allows children to use the toilet when needed.
I would like to share what impressed me the most about Chinese culture:
In China, it is customary to tap on the table with bent index and middle fingers after someone serves you tea.
