I grabbed this chair from a neighbor's loose trash and decided to "recycle" it to make a chair planter.
Total Time: 90 minutes
Yield: 1
Supplies:
- 1 old chair
- paintbrush
- paint
- circular saw
- drill
- scroll saw/jig saw
- 1 flower pot
- palm sander
- sand paper
Steps:
- Draw a circle slightly larger than the size of the bottom of the pot you wish to plant your flowers in.

- With a drill, drill a pilot hole in the circle. Then, cut the circle out with a scroll saw.
- Cut down the legs with a circular saw.

- Paint it your desired color. Using a palm sander, sand portions of chair to give it a distressed look.

- Use a piece of sand paper and sand by hand the areas you can't reach with the palm sander.
- Add a pot filled with potting soil and flowers. I also added a cute little garden sign I made. (It is in another entry for the thriftyfun.com craft contest.)
