One night I realized I had forgotten to buy garlic bread for our dinner. Too late for a trip to the store. I realized I had some extra hot dog buns though, and decided I could improvise. The improvising turned out well and I haven't bought pre-made garlic bread since. Not only are they tasty, but this costs way less since hot dog buns are so cheap. Enjoy! :)
Total Time: Around 14 minutes
Yield: As many as you like
- hot dog buns
- butter or margarine
- powdered Parmesan cheese
- Italian seasoning
- garlic powder
- Split as many hot dog buns in half as you like.
- Spread a generous amount of butter or margarine on each.
- Sprinkle generous amounts of salt, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder on each buttered half.
- Bake in a 450 degree F oven for about 13 minutes or until golden brown. Enjoy!

Go even further some night. Put on some pizza sauce, your fav' toppings and make them into personal "dog" pizzas!

Great idea. Some thing the kids help make at dinner time when they want to help.
