I have several cup marks on a footstool/ottoman. Does anyone know how I could get rid of them?

This is a tough fix and maybe I haven't done it right, because I have only had limited success (scroll down to find the water stain section:

I would only try this on a small spot and if you are OK with the fact it may cause more damage...because it can if you are like me and don't do it right.
You could always make more stains and make a statement piece from it, or just do like me, and keep the stains covered with a pretty sheet!
Try soap and distilled water on an inconspicuous spot first.
Steam and a brush to lift the nap while it is still steaming.
