Getting Rid of Acne?

I've had bad acne on my face for over 3 years. Then a couple of months ago I got acne on my back and chest. I'm going to a waterpark with my family and I don't want to wear a bikini. So I'm gonna wear rash guard. I just recently started using Acne Free Severe, I've heard it's just like Proactive which is the thing that started the acne on my back and chest. Does anyone know anything that can get rid of it overnight or in a couple of days?

There is nothing that gets rid of acne overnight or in a few days. If you have had it for years, and it is getting worse, you should go to a doctor. There are many prescription products that work very well. Home remedies do not work; if they did, no one would have bothered inventing a prescription or over the counter product. If you can not afford to go to a doctor (in Canada, this would not be an issue), go to your local pharmacist and ask for advice. They can be most helpful and will guide you to the products that are available over the counter. Some of these, used as directed and faithfully, will work if your acne is not too severe.

Sorry I know acne is a tough sometimes emotional battle. I have been there myself. My Dr. gives me retinal Rx even though I get it at cost, still I have found things I can make. Works at a fraction of the cost. The retinal would be hard for you if you are in the sun. Sun light does not play well with it at all.

I have used a mask of oatmeal and alvacodo that helps dry areas where you may have extra oil.You just smash the alvacodo into the oatmeal, leave on skin for 5 -10 minutes. Wash with warm water, pat dry. Patting the skin makes it less irritated causing more harm. I like lime juice but lemon juice works just as well. Either fresh or from the squeeze bottles. With cotton swab put on areas that are broken out.

This works great for blackheads, too. The citrus juices dries out acne allowing area to clear up. Works much better then an alcohol product, naturally not harshly. Over night maybe not (?) It does work if you keep using it even after area starts to clear up.

If you are shopping for products on HSN,there are acne products which started lines way before proactive. Look under Serious Skincare. Using a cleanser that is glyconic is what they recommend,I have used that now for 3 years. They do advertise a product that you put on when you feel an out break. I would read all of the customer reviews. Consumers always tell you what works. My friends daughter uses these products, work great for her. She also does the oatmeal mask and lime juice also.

I hope you find the right thing for your skin. Remember do NOT squeeze, rub, irritate your back/shoulders only makes it worse. Good luck!

I have heard that plain milk of magnesia is good for acne. It can't hurt to try it. Just pat it on your face and let it dry. Leave for awhile and pat it off with water. Maybe you could find out more by looking it up. Try the peoples pharmacy.com
