Can I use vinegar in my heating vents to dissolve the mothballs I put in my heating vents inside the house?

I would put bowls of vinegar around the vents, not in them

You should not use moth balls in vents as they can cause respiratory problems.
I would remove by hand if it is possible.
Soak up the odor in the air with vinegar or baking soda beside the vents,I don't think it's a good idea to put in the vents.
