Getting Rid of Warts

What are some tips for getting rid of warts? I have one on my hand and it's annoying.

Thanks!

Go with garlic! I had a wart almost an inch in diameter on the heel of my foot, which didn't go away with wart meds, and was too big to get frozen off. (Hence, it just kept growing, since nothing stopped it.) Finally I started taping slices of raw garlic over top, and left it on all day. In no time, the wart "died" and new healthy skin took its place. The only drawback is garlic breath. That was 5 years ago, and I haven't had one since.

Duct Tape05/13/2005
I have heard to cover the wart with duct tape for a while and the wart will die from lack of air getting to it. Never tried it but it sure beats getting it frozen (ouch!) or cut off.

Fig Leaf Juice05/14/2005
My friend had a whole slew of warts on the back of her hand. Someone told her to squeeze the juice of fig leaves on the warts (this is like a milky white sap that comes our of fig leaves if you tear them).

She said it would itch a little, but after a while of continued use, the warts diminished. If you look really closely, you can see where some of the bigger warts used to be, but to the untrained eye- the warts are gone!.
Good luck!

Colloidal Silver05/14/2005
Use Colloidal Silver! It Will get rid of any kind of wart. Rub it on several times a day. (the more times, the better) You will soon see the warts start to dry up and dissapear. My son had seed warts on his feet. While in the Navy, they got worse. He used everything imaginable, with NO luck. I started looking for a cure. On the computer, I found the most wonderful stuff... Colloidal Silver. Now I have my own silver generator and make my own. (much cheaper) I use it on everything (dogs, cat, and horses) and everyone (my son my best friend, myself and several others) close to me. We all have had Exxcelent results. From Yeast infections, tooth and gum problems, Warts, and infected sores. TRY IT, You won't be sorry. Hope this helps..Happy Trails, To You/

Vitamin C05/15/2005
Warts are said to be caused by virus which leads to a theory that nutrition has an effect. Try making a vitamin C paste and spread it on wart. Also considering taking whether you might profit from a higher level of oral c.

Getting Rid of Warts05/15/2005
This is a tip for Luna who has a wart on her hand. Warts are contagious and they come from contact with the virus for warts. You need to get something at the drug store that will "burn" them off. While this is happening do not come in contact with anyone in the area where the wart has been.

It is easy to see the Dr. for this, too.

Duct Tape05/15/2005
Our Dr. actually said to keep duct tape on the wart. My Mother did this, and it DID work. I had warts REALLY bad when I was much younger. So bad that I could not wear shoes. We went to visit family in California and waded the water a bit, and a few days later I was thrilled to tell Mom my warts disappeared.

Good-Luck!

Warts on My Foot06/16/2005
I have a wart on my foot, and I have done all I can to get rid of it. I've tried Cutting, Duct Tape, toothpaste, I have even tried to burn it off by myself! Right now I am trying Apple Cider Vinegar, I hope it works! Because I am embarassed to go to the store and buy those products, i can't seem to get rid of this wart that I have had for a year, and that is now spreading! Does anyone have any help for me?

Baking Soda06/17/2005
Try soaking your foot in Baking Soda and water once a day. Get a large package of baking soda and put about a cupful in a pan large enough to soak your foot. Add hot water and keep dipping the part of your foot in (the part with the wart) until you can stand the heat and leave it in there.

This worked for me. I heard about it from my husband's grandmother many years ago.

I had plantars warts all over the bottom of one foot and this got rid of them. It only took a few weeks and they were gone. I'd had them spreading for about a year.

Another old time remedy for warts is to put a piece of raw potato on the wart and cover it with a bandaid. I've seen it work.

Bandaid07/14/2005
I had one on my finger and it was right at the tip of my nail and really gross. I cut it accidently so I but a bandaid on it and after 24 hours it had turned back (died) and fell off. The band-aids we're obviously unbreathable beacuse the skin in a strip around my finger was white and pruny for like 24 more hours.

Silver Quarter07/15/2005
When my son was 3, he had a wart on his thumb. I rubbed a SILVER quarter on it ever day for about 2 or 3 weeks and it dissappeared and has not come back. I have no idea why, but it does work, and it only costs a quarter, lol.
