Pinecone ChicksWith spring right around the corner and summer approaching, winter has given us a bountiful harvest of pine cones. To bring spring in bright and cheery, here are some cute friends

Total Time: 1 hour

Yield: 3 to 6

Supplies:

  • pine cones
  • spray paint
  • felt
  • scissors
  • glue gun
  • googly eyes

Steps:

  1. Make sure pine cones are clean and dry. Spray paint. Allow to dry; repeat if needed.
  2. Pinecone Chicks

  3. Take orange felt and cut out feet, using a fork look. Hot glue on the flat end of your pine cone. Also cut small triangles to use as the beaks.
  4. Pinecone Chicks
     
  5. Glue on eyes and beaks.
  6. For additional detail I added feathers to a few chicks.
