My son is now on his 4th set of ladybug boots. They are his favorites and a good friend of ours always comments that she wants to steal them from him. So when he outgrew his last pair we decided to make planters out of them and give her one. She absolutely loved it!

Supplies:

  • rubber boots
  • drill
  • small gravel
  • potting soil
  • garden trowel
  • flowers

Steps:

  1. Drill drainage holes in the bottom of each boot.
  2. Put some gravel in each boot.
  3. Then add potting soil, leaving room for the flowers.
  4. Put the flowers into the boots and gently pack the soil. Add more potting soil, if necessary.
  5. Here is my son with his new and old boots!
