Husband Has Smelly Feet

I think my husband's feet stink because they are yellow and have such larger callouses, even after he takes a shower. If he gets rid of this dead skin, shouldn't it go away? Please HELP.

Hi,
I was watching Oprah and her guest Dr. said that soaking your feet in tea (just the regular orange pekoe kind, not green or herbal) will get rid of foot odor. A guest tried it for 2 weeks and said it worked like a charm. Hope this helps!

The tea thing is wonderful and my dh swears by it. He leaves the bags in the water and as he soaks he rubs the bottom and sides of his feet across them, says it is a great exfolient for the dry skin he gets on his soles and heels.

Keeps one cheap plastic tub soley for foot soaking and washes it thoroughly with vinegar after each use and lets it air-dry.

Lotrimin spray helps awfully well. Only after about a week or two the smell clears up. it even makes calluses, cuts, dry and peel skin go away. My husband had the same problem and it is gone completely, now. It is an athletes foot treatment but works fine for smelly feet.

My Dad had that problem for years and Mom read about taking Zinc tablets. Trust me, as kids, we definately noticed the difference and he hasn't had any problems in 20 years. Good Luck!

Well there are some things that you can do to help:
-Wearing well ventiliated socks

-Placing odor eater inserts in his shoes or the powder
-Make sure he uses anti bacterial soap on his feet when he showers
He should exfoliate his feet to remove all the dead skin cells as much as possible whenever he can
-There is also this lotion called "Eves St.Claire revitalizing foot lotion" it helps get rid of the bacteria that causes foot smell

Float gel insoles can be used For immediate relief from the pain that is caused by calluses.
Using a moisturizer on a regular basis will both prevent and get rid of calluses.
Using vicks will help prevent anymore calluses vicks also helps remove toenail fungus.

While taking a bath, soak your feet in tub of hot water with 3-4 drops of anti-dandruff shampoo! Cut a lemon into half, squeeze away some juice, put some honey and salt rub it on the feet between the toes. It works!

Have your husband try some metholetum. I put that or vicks on my feet everyday after a shower. It helps to remove callouses and softens my feet and I have very smooth heels. No expensive creams, just plain old Metholetum or Vicks, or a store brand of the same stuff.

I take my shoes off and my feet smell like vicks or whatever, at least it's better than stinky feet. I don't get colds either. I've been doing this for over 25 yrs.

My husband and I both had really bad feet--the odor is actually caused by fungus. Scrape your feet in the shower often, and always put on clean socks. The cream we use is called "Tinactin", but the active ingredient that you should look for in any cream is "Tolnaftate" which is what kills the fungus. Hope this helps!

Check out earthclinic.com. Based on their information, we treated my hubby'
s feet with iodine--cleared up smell, fungus and nasty toenails!

This is the magic bullet! It's called Pedisolix. I got it while in Europe last year and now it's available online here in America. Use it once and leave on for 24 hours with the socks they provide and it kills odour for almost 3 MONTHS!

It normalizes foot perspiration and kills the bacteria and makes feet soft and healthy....also really helps with foot fungus and toenail 'stuff'. I couldn't believe it but me and a few friends here have used it a few times and it's friggin' amazing! www.pedisolix.com

I tried this with good success and it's cheap and simple:

1. Get a spray bottle from the Dollar Store.
2. Fill it with saline solution like you use with contact lenses.
I use the store brand.
3. After showering, spray your feet with the saline solution and let it dry. It doesn't take long to dry.

Hope you have good luck too!

My husband gently removes dead skin with fine sandpaper...the same as those expensive chemist products but cheaper. He scrubs his feet each day with a body brush & soap & wears health socks from http://www.thermomedic.com to naturally reduce perspiration & odour.

My boyfriend also had problems with his footcare. The smell was embarassing. He tried several powders and creams... nothing worked. Then his doctor recommended special cedarsoles to him. After a couple of days he lost his stinky problem. So this could be another good solution for you.

The tea thing maybe also works... but I think it's a bit to unpractical.
