My daughter has a fluffy jacket that needs a good washing, but I am afraid of what the fluffy material will look like. Any way to fluff it back up so that it is soft and pretty if it looks matted together?

Put a tennis ball in the dryer and it will fluff it up.
what i have done with fluffy sweaters is laundered them inside out, and then simply not put them in the dryer, but let them air dry.
once it gets matted its pretty hard to fluff it up again, so it's best to not allow that to happen
