My back yard is landscaped with rocks. Grass has grown through huge patches. How can I kill the weeds/grass? I need a home made remedy. Some kind of solution that I can make at my house. I am not well off.

If you have the liquidation store "Big Lots" in your area, each spring & summer (& sometimes the rest of the year) they sell their own brand of Landscaping Cloth. It's only $3.99 for a 4 foot x 20 yard roll (It's cost twice that much at Home Depot). If you can remove the rocks, & put Landscaping Cloth down with your rocks on top of it, your effort will be rewarded! If not, then you can use Plain Boiling Water & if THAT doesn't work, then use household vinegar & if THAT doesn't work, then use the stronger Vinegar you can buy where they sell Plant nursery supplies.
REMEMBER, start with the least toxic, then work your way up to the strongest. Whatever you pour on the ground, ends up in our ground water!

Here is a recipe for homemade weed killer. Spray it directly on small patches of grass growing up through your rock ground cover. You can also use it to kill weeds in gravel walks, between bricks or stones in walkways and paths and on weeds growing between cracks in your driveway or sidewalk. Be careful not to spray it on plants that you want to keep because it doesn't discriminate. Also, don't spray it on bare soil in areas where you intend to plant or garden in the future.
Mix ingredients well and transfer into a hand-held spray bottle for application.
