I work with the Neighborhood Youth Association (NYA), a non-profit organization serving underprivileged youth in the Mid-City, Downtown L.A., South Central, Mar Vista, and Venice areas.
We are currently working on a community-building project; we are making an NYA quilt made by the hands of our youth (1st-12th graders) along with our volunteers, family, and alumni.
Recently I reached out looking for fabric donations and received a few responses to fill that need. (Yay!) Our project is underway! We are still in need of batting for our quilt-in-the-making; does anyone know where I could get some donated or for a very low price?

If you are a 501(c), see if a store such as a fabric store would donate it to you. You can also put requests on craigslist or on the various local swapshops on facebook.
