Macaroon Recipes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of evaporated milk
  • 1 1/2 cups of granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup of butter or margarine
  • 1 tsp of vanilla
  • 2 cups of butterscotch chips
  • Advertisement

  • 4 cups of cornflakes, crushed down slightly in the cup
  • 2 1/2 cup of coconut
  • 1 cup of chopped walnuts

Directions

Combine milk, sugar and butter in saucepan. Over medium heat bring to a full boil that you cannot stir down. Remove from heat. Add vanilla and chips. Stir until chips are melted.

Stir in cornflakes, coconut and nuts. Spread in waxed paper lined 8x8 inch pan. Chill well before cutting into squares.

In a medium mixing bowl, combine egg whites and salt. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until stiff, but not dry. Gradually add powdered sugar, beating on high speed, till stiff peaks form.
