Here is an easy/fun way to create stationary made with some leaves from your backyard, crayons, and paper. Afterwards, your child could write notes or mail to grandparents, aunts, uncles, or their friends (pen pals during this pandemic).

Note: The kid's outdoor table has a rough surface so it adds more texture which is nice or you could do this on a smooth surface too!

Total Time: Fairly quick (depends on your child/amount of paper you make)

Supplies:

  • assorted leaves
  • crayons
  • paper

Steps:

  1. Lay down the leaves you want to use on the table/or flat surface. Place paper on top.

  3. Rub the side of the crayon over the leaf to create the beautiful leaf texture.
  4. Continue to repeat with other leaves and crayon colors until your child achieves what they want.
  5. This could be used as a leaf art piece to hang up/display or as stationary (which we will be doing to write to loved ones).
