The hall coat rack was not serving much purpose after I removed the coats so I started using it to hang onions, potatoes, plastic bags and my apron.

A mesh bag works great for hanging onions. Thanks to "likekinds" for his tip on keeping the onions separated by using bread tabs. I found that it works much better than tying a knot and having to untie it in order to save the bag. I love these mesh bags. I have two.
