Making a Cheap Oil Mister

Gold Post Medal for All Time! 969 Posts

A spray bottle containing oil for cooking.I recently made some fried green tomatoes and needed an oil mister for an air fryer. Yes, they do need a little bit, especially for things with a batter. But the misters are out of my budget. So, I took a chance and got a Dollar Tree spray bottle.

The oil works best when you put just a little water in it, so the hole in the cap doesn't clog up. But with maybe 5% of the water and 95% oil, it worked great. I probably saved about $12.00! And they came out great!! N-JOY!

You can slightly enlarge the hole with a teensy drill bit, too.
I tried pushing a needle through to enlarge it, but thats too big.
The wire size drill bits make a smooth hole and they let the oil flow a bit easier.
I like a good bit of oil, so I dont mind the slightly increased application.
