Making a Knitting Bag

April 27, 2011

Knitting BagWhen taking your knitting project with you, a container for a wine gift (they can be purchased very reasonably after the holidays) holds your yarn and those long needles and looks stylish. It can be covered with gift wrap, but most are already pretty. Or you could make a handle for a coffee can by punching a hole on each side and knotting some heavy yarn on the inside to form a handle - this would be suitable for your shorter needles

I would think punching a hole in a coffee can would make a jagged hole. Perhaps drilling a hole in a PLASTIC coffee container would work.
