Supplies:

  • 4 pieces of cardboard paper in 1/4 size (assorted colors)
  • scissors
  • glue

Steps:

  1. I used 4 pieces of 1/4 sized A4 cardboard paper. Take one piece and fold it in half for the card and then set aside.
  2. Mini Pop-up Valentine Card - fold one piece of your paper in half and set aside

  3. Take another two in the same color and fold both pieces in half. Set aside.
  4. Mini Pop-up Valentine Card - fold two pieces of the same color in half and set aside

  5. Get another one and cut into two. Set aside one half and fold the other.
  6. Mini Pop-up Valentine Card - on fourth piece cut in half and fold one half in half again

  7. Now, take the folded one and cut a half heart shape along the folded side. See photo to see form of cutting.
  8. Mini Pop-up Valentine Card - cut out a heart shape from the folded red paper

  9. As you can see in the photo when you open it there is a gap between the two curves.
  10. Mini Pop-up Valentine Card - open out

  11. Now, cut a tiny triangle shape from the center of that gap.
  12. Mini Pop-up Valentine Card - cut out a tiny triangle at the top of the fold on one side

  13. Apply a small amount of glue onto the uncut part and then stick it onto the back of the curve of the other side of the heart.
  14. Mini Pop-up Valentine Card - add a drop of glue to the uncut side

Mini Pop-up Valentine Card - stick to the curve on the back of the other side of the heart

  15. Do the same with the other two folded cards.
  16. Mini Pop-up Valentine Card - repeat with the other two folded pieces of paper
