Mixing Disappointing Hair Products

Have you ever used a hair product like mousse, gel, cream, spray, etc. that for whatever reason was a disappointment? Maybe you didn't like the scent or its performance on your hair. Instead of tossing it in the garbage, I have a frugal solution that has worked well for me.

Mix your undesirable product together with something you DO like. I would suggest a 50/50 ratio to start with, but you can experiment. Also, I would suggest mixing the same type of product together: creams with creams, sprays with sprays, gels with gels but you can experiment here also.

Obviously, sprays would have to be in an openable pump bottle and not in an aerosol can, and mousses would be the same unless you want to mix in your hand right before applying.

I have always been pleasantly surprised by the end result and happy that I didn't lose money by tossing the product.
