Notebook Calendar

Notebook CalendarYou know those calendars you get from vendors at the beginning of the year? I got so many I have them all over. Here's where I put one of them.

Supplies:

Steps:

  1. If you need to hold a calendar in a notebook and can't use a hole puncher, use paperclips. Make sure the "U" part is on the outside as I have shown with the arrow. It makes it a little easier when you might have to flip it to get to other papers in your book. (hold the sides when flipping).
  2. When the clips get a little worn or the next month is here just replace them. It's the easy.

Hope it works for you as well as it does for me.

I also get a lot of free calendars in the mail; but, I just keep the 2 I like the best - 1 by the computer and one in the kitchen - and then I donate the rest to a local thrift shop.

This helps the charity that runs the thrift shop and gets the calendars out to people that need them but do not want to pay the high price that they charge in stores today.

I like this paperclip idea for keeping a variety of papers in a binder. I saw somewhere online an idea that i love, where a lady took a cheap plastic 3 ring notebook and cut the front cover off it, punched holes for a calendar, put it on the rings of the binder, and hung it on her daughters wall.

In regard to using a 3-ring binder with the front torn off, I had several binders left behind after the kids moved on. The metal rings were in good shape, the covers were ratty and worn with writing all over them. The worst ones I took the covers completely off and have repurposed in many ways. The ones that were ugly I recovered with contact paper, or fabric and glue, etc.

I have used them to hang calendars, keep papers together, etc. I use some to make an 'index' for my patterns which are in a file. The binder hangs like a hanging file on the edges so that I can pull it out and see what patterns I have. One of my "repurpose" projects with a practical use.
