Pineapple Peel Tea

Please don't toss out your pineapple peels! Make some delicious teas with them instead. That's right, the peels and scraps from your pineapple fruit make fantastic tasting teas that are also packed with antioxidants and enzymes with anti-inflammatory properties. It is said to also help with joint pain and arthritis.

I like to make a hot version of this tea for the colder months, or throw in some mint and make a refreshing iced tea when it's hot out. Give it a try!

Prep Time: 30 minutes

  • Place all ingredients in a pot and add enough water so everything is submerged. Bring to a boil, lower heat, then simmer (covered) for 20 minutes. Serve.

I like these different teas you're coming up with (bad grammar intended). Long before your time, tea didn't have to be Orange pekoe, Pekoe and Cut Black.

It could be anything. I liked Sassafras and Jasmine. If I'm not mistaken, Willow bark tea was the beginning of aspirin. More recipes, please.

Yes, I get what you're saying. My mum introduced me to using peels for teas and I was just blown away. I'll share some more good ones! x
