Porcupine Meatballs

This recipe can be baked at 350 degrees F for 2 hours, but I made it in the crockpot to save energy and to keep my kitchen cool in the summer. It also uses brown rice instead of white.

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 4-5 hours on high

Total Time: 4-5 hours

  1. In the liner of the slow cooker, whisk together tomato sauce, water, Worcestershire sauce, and red pepper flakes.
  2. In a bowl combine rice, onion, and spices.
  3. Add the ground beef to rice mixture and gently combine.
  4. Ad

  5. Using a tablespoon each, make little meatballs (about 26) and place in the sauce. Cover all the meatballs with the sauce.
  6. Cover and cook 4-5 hours on low, or until the rice is tender.

I have never tried using rice with meatballs. That is an interesting combination to make meatballs. Thanks for the recipe.
