If you are serving cake or pie with ice cream, save time by preparing the ice cream scoops before the party. Just scoop ice cream into large muffin tins with cupcake liners. Then cover them plastic wrap to prevent freezer burn and put them in the freezer until needed.

Here is a way to make it much easier on your hands when scooping ice cream. It also helps when having a party to have the scoops ready. Simply thaw out the ice cream then easily scoop ice cream balls. Store in freezer until ready. Enjoy ! :)

Ice cream is the perfect dessert for a barbecue, and easy to serve if you scoop it ahead of time and put the scoops in cupcake liners, then freeze. Pop a scoop or two of ice cream into a bowl and add some sliced strawberries or peaches!
