How do I protect myself from my two kittens sharp claws when they are sucking my neck and kneading?
There are many ways to fix the problem of cat nails.
Step 1
Trim their nails, or have a vet do it for you. YOu said this didn't work, so on to next step.
Step 2
Purchase kitten nail covers. Believe it or not, they do sell these: www.amazon.com/
Step 3
Distract them with toys so that they are not interested in going after your neck.
Step 4
Wear a turtleneck or other clothing to prevent their claws affecting you.
Hopefully some of the above can help address your issue.
Would it be easier for you to trim, cut your kittens nails?
You can always put a small towel around your neck for the kittens to kneed on. This will help protect your skin. It almost sounds like they were taken away from their mom too soon. They still want to have something to suck on.
I would also suggest that you buy them a few toys to play with. This can help an active baby kitten.
I have already had that done, but it did not remedy the situation.
