Puppy Recovering from Parvo Can't Walk?

I have a pup with parvo. I took her to vet and got her IVs and injectable meds. 6 days passed and she recovered, slowly drinking by her own, eating little by little and now she's on oral supportive medication. She is also on meds for deworming, but I notice she has trouble walking. She can stand, but not walk. She cries and asks for help every time she needs to go somewhere. I'm kinda worried because she cannot walk altho she's now eating and drinking. She pooped just awhile ago and it's now normal soft poop followed by a solid dark brown. So I assume she's now OK, but why can't she walk? Why does she have trouble walking? I'm worried because prior to this she was a very active little puppy. Is this normal? Is she still on her recovery phase? Thanks for those who reply.

Don't worry , she is a baby and it takes time for the energy to come back. Her recovery sounds like she is on track. Follow the Vet's advice, that's important. With patience and care she will be back to her old self in time!

It maybe part of the recovery process but I think I would want to know for sure. I would at least call the vet and ask about it. You never know it could be the medication. I would not take any chances.

Parvo is very hard on dogs and it takes a lot out of them. Your dog sounds like she is very young. I do believe that the worst of this is over and she needs to eat and build up her strength.

I would call the vet to confirm all this and tell them your worries. They might want you to bring her back in for a check up to see if she is fine and on her way to recovery.

It seems she is still a young pup and I'm sure all of this has made her a little afraid to try anything that takes her strength so I think I would give her more time to regain her confidence and strength back.

By all means, contact her vet and tell them exactly what she is doing and let them decide if she needs to be seen or if there is something else you should be watching for.
