Recovery Time for a Dog with Parvo?

My dog is 1.5 years old. He was diagnosed with parvo about 7 days ago. For the last 2 days he has been eating and drinking normally and all the symptoms are gone. He is still on medication for a better recovery. My question is how much time will it will take to fully recover?

It can be several weeks for a full recovery. Keep giving the dog its medication until the vet tells you to stop.

This basically depends on the dog and the number of vaccinations the dog has received. It sounds like your dog is snapping out of this quite quickly.

It can take as long as a month to recover from Parvo. While other dogs can recover in a week or so.

Parvo is a highly infectious disease. It can take 4-6 weeks sometimes longer for a little one to heal completely. Make sure to continue with all medications until finished. It can live years in your home & yard so be careful not to subject other dogs to the virus. Puppies & older dogs are most likely to get it. Make sure to keep your little one up to date on all shots to prevent any further problems.

Give him a little hug for me.
I fostered 5 5-week old puppies with parvo years ago. The 3 boys didn't survive, I kept one of the females & she is now 16 & still healthy as can be, her eyesight & hearing aren't like they used to be but I've decided she will live forever. I am so glad your little one is going to make it thru.

It could take a couple weeks to a month, just keep a very close eye on him. You're doing great.
