Recycled Paper Bag Doodle or Sticker Book

Recycled paper bags or great to use for crafting. Wine, liquor, or glass beverages are sometimes packaged in a brown paper bag, or if you live in a state where plastic bags are banned (like I do) then you will only get paper bags unless you bring reusable bags for your groceries. After awhile the paper bags do begin to wear and the handles break. You can then recycle them and turn the brown paper bags into a kid's doodle or sticker book.

This is a great size for your child to bring along on strolls to the park, shopping, grocery shopping, or just to have in the car or at home!

Total Time: 30 minutes

Supplies:

Steps:

  1. Smooth out brown paper bag(s).
  2. Cut off the end of the bag(s).
  3. Cut the bag up into the size you would like your book to be.
  4. Open up the bag and cut out your pages.
  5. Hole punch each page/paper.
  6. Clip together the pages with loose leaf rings.
  7. Measure the page against a piece of cardboard and cut out two pieces. They will be used for the front and back cover of the book to make it sturdy.
  8. Mark the cardboard for the holes and punch.
  9. Flip through magazine(s) and cut out images for your child's doodle book, or have them pick out what they'd want.
  10. Glue down the pictures of choice. Flip the cover over and cut off the extra paper with an X-acto knife. Re-punch your holes.
  11. Open the loose leaf rings and add the front and back cover. It is ready for your child to doodle in or add stickers.
