Removing Spilled Fragrance Oil from Wood Table?

How do I get fragrance oil off of a wooden table? Would I have to refinish the table top?

Oil seeps in. You may have to sand gently until the oil is off, then refinish.

I'd use a very mild cleaner and scrub, going with the grain of the wood, then dry with a soft cloth.
