I was on the bus when my friend's little sister scribbled on the front and back of her school photo. How can we get it off?

I don't know if you have succeeded in getting this off, but my guess would be that you could a damp cloth to get this off. With the gloss on the photo, it should wipe off. If it's stubborn, you may have try a little bit of rubbing alcohol, but it would be careful with that. Once you start using anything more than water you risk damaging the gloss.
