Repairing a Leaning Fence

Over time the posts on your fence may begin to rot, even though the fence boards themselves are still in good shape. This usually results in the fence section beginning to lean. There are some temporary fixes that can put off a more expensive repair for a good length of time. This is a guide about repairing a leaning fence.

If your fence is leaning over, but still in decent condition (not ready to be replaced), both you and your neighbor can use wood to lean the fence up on both sides. We had leftover wood, so we cut a small piece and then screwed it to the fence, then used a longer piece of wood at an angle for support. This method has been holding up for over a year!
