This is a sweet snack I actually invented as I ran out of pancake ingredients. I have visitors and what's left is a pack of sticky rice flour. So I was thinking what to do with it until I discovered the stickies.
1 cup sticky rice flour
pinch of salt
Mix 1 cup sticky rice flour, 1/4 cup brown sugar and a pinch of salt.
Pour water little by little.
Continuously stir mixture as you add water until a dough is formed.
Take a small portion.
Roll it to form a long thick string.
You can twist it but its optional.
Drop each piece in boiling water and wait until it floats.
Remove and drain excess water.
Deep fry the pieces.
When it starts to expand, sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon of brown sugar in each batch.
Stir until sugar melts and coats well with the stickies.
Remove from pan and serve hot.
