Saving Money on Stain Treatment

November 13, 2009

Woman looking at Stained ShirtI received a small sample bottle of laundry detergent. I had a stain on a shirt so I put a little detergent directly on the spot and laundered as usual. No special "stain remover" or fancy oxy anything. The stain came out and I have been refilling the little bottle with my regular laundry detergent and pre-treating stains ever since. It even gets out sweaty mechanic's collar stains. You could use a small dish liquid bottle if you don't have a small laundry sample bottle. I have saved a bundle of money and don't have as many bottles sitting in laundry room.

Excellent tip! I'd imagine an empty dish soap bottle would also work.
