What are you trying to sew? I pick my needles based on what I am sewing.
For example a 60 for sheers and a 120 if I am doing denim.

The manual will tell you which needle will fit. Keep in mind there are different needles for sewing different fabrics.
Sewing machine needles come in one size to fit all machine. You need to select the gauge of the needle depending on what you are sewing.
