Gold Post Medal for All Time! 899 Posts

Most libraries allow you to set up an online account. In your account you can review what you have checked out, when it is due back, and you can even renew items.

Many libraries will notify you via email when your due dates are approaching, allowing you to avoid overdue fees.

I've done this for years and it really is convenient. Not only can I look at what I have checked out and when it's due but also keep an eye on the items I am waiting on (holds). Also then the library contacts me via email to tell me when something is ready to pick up or when items are due. It's a really great service but wonder how many people realize they can do it.
