Shenandoah National Park Webcam

Silver Post Medal for All Time! 418 Posts

A snow covered forest high up on a mountain.Every morning, I get on the computer and go through my favorites. This web cam, located in Shanandoah National Park in Virginia, is one my favorites. There is only one view and I don't know how often it takes a picture during the day but I was able to copy and paste this photo on January 14 at noon. I thought the ice and snow on the trees made a beautiful picture and I set it for my desktop background. It was just a cold, rainy day here where we live.

I think when it gets warm, we just might take a trip to this place in May. It will be like going back in time and experiencing early spring again.

If you would like to look at this beautiful view and watch the weather and seasons change, this is the website:

I just noticed the fine print at the top of the picture. It tells the date and time of day the photo was captured.

Looks like the trees in Shenandoah National Park are going to get frosted again if the rain that's coming our way does not wash it away.

Click on the website above for a beautiful view of spring in our mountains. I'm wishing I could go now. It would be like stepping back in time.

littergitter,

What a view! I'm like you in that area all the way...I see a spectacular view that I'm drawn to visually because it's so beautiful, that get wishing I could just "go", like right now :)

Thank goodness for the internet, though it's not actually the same at all as being there, we can imagine. :)
