Most people use their phones or tablets now. You can get very cheap computer desks on Craigslist or even free on Freecycle. I have even seen them at the curb before garbage day.

In addition to Freecycle, Craigslist - you can check Goodwill Outlet, or any thrift stores, even garage sales!

Good luck.

Ask around to friends and family first and see if anyone has one. Goodwill always has a steady supply of them. I have also seen them on NextDoor and LetGo, sometimes for free.

If you have a car big enough to haul one, you may find a nice one on trash day. I see the out by the side of the road at least once a week.

Hope you find one that meets your needs quickly!

A computer desk is usually one of the easier items to find but you will probably need a vehicle for picking it up.
The size of the desk would determine if you can get it in a car or if you will need a pick-up truck. Most of these desks will come apart for easier transport so be sure to take some tools with you if this is your plan.

All of the places mentioned are good sources for finding inexpensive and many times free desks so try those sources before making a trip to a thrift store.

Most places where these desks will be located will not have anyone to help you load and then unload so be sure to keep this in mind also.

Why not try Nestdoor first as anything there will be in your area. You can also place a wanted ad on any of these sites.

aside from all the cheap things listed - craigslist, nextdoor, dumpster diving, etc - I will also say that office supply stores like Office Depot or Staples habitually slash prices on their desks and chairs to 50% or more because nobody in this economy can move inventory anymore to save their life

you can further take advantage of the Retail Apocalypse by scouring the paper for notices of big box stores going out of business.
