If you're going to have a swimming pool, go ahead and invest more money to put a fence around it with a locking gate. So many youngsters so fascinated with the water, try to go out to the pools with their guardians knowledge and fall in, not realizing they can't swim and drown each summer. A small bit of forethought and a bit more money for the gate and fence can save a whole lot of heartache.

So many pets, like children, have a fascination with water. Many times in Summer months, there are so many tragedies where small children find their way to the family's pool without adult supervision and lose their lives. The same can go for pets.

Fix your home so your children and pets can't go to the pool without your supervision. Remember, both, children and pets, can disappear in an instant. Better to be safe than sorry. Happy Summer Everyone!

It's swimming pool season, which means kids and accidents. If you are having a party designate 1 adult as the "Pool Watcher" for a half hour. Then another adult gets the honor. The pool watcher's job is to keep close watch at the pool, and after her half-hour she gets to rejoin the adults for adult fun.

Always have a phone, house phone or cell phone, at the pool. In an emergency you don't want to have to search for the phone!
