Truck Stalls After a Short Distance?

I have a 2003 Dodge diesel truck. I had a new heater core installed and drove home about a 20 mile ride. The next time we used the truck it broke down and we thought maybe it was low on gas. Now the truck will start up and then shut down after a short distance. My husband has a code machine and looked them all up. He checked out all the codes and fixed them, right on down to disconnecting the after market alarm system, but it still acts the same. There is no codes showing at present. Any ideas?

The truck more than likely broke down because the water is not circulating through your engine and your engine is getting too hot. You could have a bad water pump or even thermostat on the car. You'll need to check if the fan is working correctly and can go into fast idle to cool down the motor.
